my new obsession..

WEDGES!! 

     I am so obsessed with finding and buying wedges for my upcoming vacation and especially for summer!! I have decided they are going to be my new look for the warmer, sunnier weather! I have noticed every time i do some online window shopping wedges are every where!
     Last summer wedges were a big craze and i have the feeling they are going to be even bigger this summer! I would definitely urge everyone out there to get at least two pairs for this summer, one black pair and one neutral color!
     They are so versatile and i think that is what makes them so appealing. They can be worn with with shorts, capris, skirts, dresses, and even pants! And every girl knows that wearing a heel, no matter how short, will make your legs look great!
    i will post a picture of the newest pair i have purchased when they arrive, but in the mean time here are the two that i own right now.. and yes i took these pictures :)

Fashion Week Hair Trend!

 

     i love this new hair coloring technique!! it is called Ombre and is the most clever idea ever! the whole purpose is to give the look of a gradual fade in hair color. the most popular right now with celebrities is dark to light, but sometimes you will see light to dark. both are very beautiful!
     i will be getting my hair done on wednesday, and yes i am getting the Ombre!! i am so excited! my hair dresser and i have been in talks abut it for almost two months now and i am so excited! you can definitely expect to see some pictures posted no later than thursday featuring my new do!

     okay folks, during these cold winter months i have the perfect meal for you to make and enjoy! this meal is rich and hearty, full of bold flavor and substance, and is sure to leave you feeling satisfied until left overs the next day!
     ITS CHILI!!! but... this isnt your original chili that contains four ingredients; hamburger, beans, chili powder, and a tomato base, this is real hearty chili with an international flare! its called Jerk Turkey Chili with Fried Okra.
     OKAY PLEASE! i beg all of you, before you turn away at the sound of okra just read me out! this chili is the most amazing chili you will ever have! it has so many bold flavors your mouth and your brain will be in overdrive trying to comprehend what is going on! and then it is topped with the crispy fried okra to add a new texture you have never experienced before!

i would estimate it takes an 1.5-2 hours to make, depending on how quickly you can prepare the fresh vegies! i add one can of black beans to mine to make it a little more like the chili im use to. the recipe also calls for an indian ale but every time i have made this i just use any available micro brew that i have around.
     let me know if you try this! i PROMISE you will love it! make it on a sunday night and bring the left overs to work the next day, everyone around you will me dying to try a bite!
